Welcome to VULCAN, a sub-forum of Jon M.'s MUTANTS & MASTERMINDS campaign. Here we will focus on the planet VULCAN, assumedly the first planet created by the enigmatic Flux using the heart of the universe. This forum will ultimately become the comprehensive guide for every aspect of the planet - including it's races, geography, flora, fauna, language, cultures, politics, religion, technology, trades etc. - while also being utilized for actual roleplaying. This introductory post, in particular, will be used to cover general information about VULCAN and will be constantly edited and updated as the details become available. Please direct any questions you may have about the setting to this thread and I will attempt to answer them in a timely fashion.

THE PLANET

The size of the planet Vulcan is almost equivalent to that of Earth, but shares several traits with the planet Mars. Vulcan has two pangea like, rocky red continents that are sorrounded on all sides by an ocean, known as Nelen.

The larger of the two continents is known as AbaShaa, which contains the sprawling capital city of Vulcan, Espii. It also houses Shaa, the great tree, deep within it's caverns. It is the most populated of the two continents, and it has been estimated that over two thirds of those living on the planet live on AbaShaa.

The smaller of the two continents is known as Cacus, which houses over 60% of the on-world mines of Electrium, Steel, and iron. It is populated by several mining colonies including it's capital city of, iigo. Some claim it is also the homeland of Vulcan's "Red People", the Caeculus, but this is still debated.

Vulcan has one moon, called Thith, which serves as a small mining base for those working in the asteroid field, Hella.

Vulcan is populated by three major races - two very distinct, and one being a combination of the two. The mixed race is a fairly recent development, having grown in numbers and visibility over the past two hundred years.

Sorer - or "The Pale People", are the white skinned denizens of Vulcan.
Caeculus - or "The Red People", are the red skinned denizens of Vulcan.
Threan - or "The Mixed People", are the mixed population of Vulcan.
