Angela Lewis, born May 07, 2032. Her parents, Arthur, and Missy both well to do artists. When Angela was young, she was diagnosed with a rare, but very serious case of autism. While this wasn't the case, she had been treated as such for about half her life. In reality, she was a very, very intelligent (like 25 INT ) child, almost a prodigy. Her parents dismissed her since she had very little promise in any sort of artistic form. Ironically they were dead wrong, and just didn't have the patience for her to see her real talents. She was sent to school away, and never really saw much of her parents. Boarding schools and the like. As a result of this, she spent a LOT of time watching television. She loved watching superheroes, and even more so, she loved cartoons. She read, or watched anything comic she could get her hands on. Anything animated, she would simply absorb.
At around the age of 15, she realized she had weird talents. The talents change her perception. At first, it seemed to her that she could merely change the world around her to look like cartoons, but she soon realized that it affected everyone around her. Other people could now see her cartoon fantasy in real, living color. She began to display her talents in the public (around 16), which included the power to make inanimate objects come alive, move things with her mind, and create elaborate illusions. She became a relatively well-known performer of her "cartoons" as she called them. In fact, just about all of her life she changed the looks and sounds of it to her liking. Even the textures were hers.
One fateful evening (on her 18th birthday), after finishing up one of her most famous artworks, actually live on a satellite TV network (in superduper high def of course), she was approached by Highlight Reel a member of "the Order", and was asked if she would like to join their most righteous crime fighting crew. Her travel arrangements, and living conditions would be arranged (room at the base basically), and she would immediately be able to use her talents to help them fight crime. Of course, the proposition of her actually becoming something she's always idolized was something she couldn't pass up. She joined the order.
Although she really didn't have any "combat" experience, she was able to learn through the facilities the Order had set up, and in the meantime, she had been able to use her talents in other, non-violent ways. Even when she wasn't helping the cause in combat, her positive image in the media was important for her new group. Many have said that the Order is too showy, and overly arrogant. Moxie brought a new aspect to the team, especially with the teen crowd. The kids love it, and she rather quickly rose to one of the more popular supers in the United States, despite her lack of crudentials. In a public statement made by the Order, they said something to the effect of "she (moxie)'s learning the ropes, and she'll be whacking the menace sooner than you think. In the meantime, she brings something intangible to the team." Yeah, something like that. All of this happened in about a year.
So currently, the story continues. Her parents, by the way, still want nothing to do with her since her artful style was deemed "immature". We'll just say they aren't very good parents...
While she longs for their acceptance, she can't help but enjoy her success as an artist/superhero. Her parents resentment is now just par for the course.
uhh... stuff I forgot to add:
1. The media knows her as Toon Girl. She prefers to be called Moxie by her comrades and friends. A tribute to her favorite cartoon character. Moxie the Speckled Cat. Don't call her Angela.
2. Bag of 1000 costumes. Part of the act, but still very useful to have for a crime fighter.
3. I forgot to add this earlier, but she would actually have some knowledge of the existing supers in the world. So I'm thinking a knowledge skill works for that I guess. I'll have to adjust. _________________ BP's Video Game Wishlist!:

Moxie with the media...
She makes her living doing various endorsement deals with corporations. Her agent and her coordinate these. I'll leave it up to Jon as to how much she gets for them. The only catch with these deals is she'll only do commercials for things she personally likes. For instance, her favorite band Mechanonomicon (a induelectronica metal band) has a recent album out (called "The Real 2112"). She did all of the art for it in weird holographic shit... makes it look like it's moving. Most companies, especially people trying to sell to kids, will try to hire her for their ads, but she's very picky like I said. She needs to have complete control of production in order to agree to it.
Mr. Bingley, the agent makes sure this happens.
She tends to try and be as media friendly as she can. Taking time out of her day to do interviews and maintain a people friendly image for herself. This would probably help the Order to an extent, but I'm not sure how much. She does what she can to improve their media credibility as a supergroup, but at the same time, she appears on plenty of endorsements anyway. Kind of a mixed message. _________________ BP's Video Game Wishlist!:
