Alright Dan, since you mentioned that you might be interested in playing a fantasy baseball league I thought I'd ask ya. One of the leagues I'm in is in need of someone to pick up a team. Someone had to quit the league in the middle of the draft, so we're looking for someone to fill that spot.

The league is a dynasty league, which means it works a bit like real baseball. You have a salary cap, and players cost money based on their salary at the year when you sign them. The salary increases for each year you have them after the first one, and you can have a player from 1 to 5 years. Waivers work differently, and there's also a minor league draft of 5 rounds. The league is meant to go on for a few years instead of the normal pick-up leagues where you redraft every year.

The only warnings I have is that the rules are kinda nuts, and rather vague at this point, so you need to have some patience. However, it could be really fun if it gets off the ground. If you don't want to join this one, I'm considering running one of my own that would be just a regular league. I haven't decided on that yet though.

Dude running the league just appointed me co-commish of it actually, so I'll be able to try and sort things out bettah. Finally some good comes out of me running the BPI boards! I know how to use other boards too Wink

I'm totally interested. I've never been in a serious fantasy league like this though. I think it will be fun though.

Here's an idea too: we should try to get a BPI pickup league on yahoo. I was in two leagues with them last year and it's pretty damn fun.

Yes, I think I want to do that. I know that I can possibly get 4-5 already, and then I have to just fill in the rest.
