'nuff said.

Still your bestbuy special can run games though. Paying $2000 for something you can get for like $400 in a few years is nuts Smile.

What are your specs sir? Just curious. By those I mean your bust size, clock speed, and uhh... all that good stuff, oh and the bus speed cuz that's important.

yeah, but my $425 machine beats the hell out of practically any best buy special.

2.4 Ghz Core2Duo Processor / 1066Mhz FSB
2 GB DDR2 RAM
Creative Sound Blaster Audigy SE 7.1 Channel Sound Card
NVIDIA GeForce 8500GT 256MB 128-bit GDDR2 Video Card

I did buy a new case for it, but what's the point in listing the case spec's

I kept the rest of the components from my old computer though:
Western Digital 80 GB HD 7200 RPM
Pioneer DVD burner
ACER 19" widescreen LCD monitor (I love this thing)
2 external HDs (160 GB & 250 GB)

and other peripherals I'm sure no one really cares about (keyboard, mouse etc.)

UberChrononauts is going to be insane.

In order to win the game you have to satisfy all three win conditions: 10 cards in hand, ID fulfilled and mission accomplished. Not all at the same time though. And Uber Paradoxes only occur in four rows of time. So there can be 13 paradoxes on the board, but they can't be in four consecutive rows.

Heyzeus dude you did way better than I did. Think I spent about $550 ended up with:

2.66 GHZ Pentium D, 533 FSB
1 GB ddr2 667mhz
Asus Mobo, PCIE slots, 24 pin PSU (sound card onboard, and 100/1000 NIC card also... pretty sexy card)
i wanna say 250 watt PSU
120 GB HD 7500 RPMs generic stuff... think it's either WD or Seagate

The rest I already had. My Vid card costed $65 from the old machine, dvd player came with my old machine, and so did the monitor. Now I know why Jackie loves ya so much. You're a good shopper Wink. Although, this was a few years ago. I imagine if you build this now you might spend less, but still that's crazy cheap. I would recommend using PCI memory if you can. You gotta check the reviews on the products as some of them are DOA all the time, but the good ones are cheap and awesome. I think they want $40 for 2 GB of the same memory I bought. This stick cost me $130.

This + procrastination on my homework has driven me to try and build one on newegg for fun...

I could have actually gotten it for $375, but I forgot to mail in two rebates that came from the processor and from the video card.

Building your own machine is a lot of fun. Remind me to tell you a funny story about putting my processor/heatsink together. I would type it out here but its too long of a story to type.

Speaking of flipping shit... Pookie Slinger needs to produce that video of Sass stomping the yard at the VFW. Jon was saying it's his birthday coming up next weekend, so we should totally give that to him for his Bday. Plus, I wanna see that shit again anyways. It would totally bet he best video ever posted on this thread out of some 320 posts! We can give a copy to Paul also as a belated gift. I'm thinking maybe we could just print up a bunch of copies, and have it be the generic Bday gift from the BPI.
