Agreed. BP isn't the only one who is prejudice towards smokers. If I, or someone like me was running any sort of establishment, I'd hire non-smokers first. Then if I absolutely had to, I'd hire smokers. I think this is why you see so many at like Wal Mart or something. It's not their choice, it's their need for labor. A well known fact is that 95% of the illegal immigrants that are hired by Wal Mart, are paid half their wages in cigarettes. A sad thing to be said, but unfortunately it's true. I feel they should at least be paid in alcoholic beverages or something. Then I won't have to smell it.
Job hunting requires doing a buttload of applications, and being a pain in the ass too. People seem to think you look more ambitious when you call your potential employer 36 times asking if they reviewed an application. Really they just get annoyed, and decide that if they hire you, you won't be calling them back nearly as much. That or they'll tell you they're not hiring anymore. Since you applied for a buttload of places, you shouldn't feel too horrible if some of them turn you down. |

But yet you'd rather that their incredible work skills go unnoticed because they happen to smoke. Btw, i am actually quitting so iI guess now I'll get an awesome job, right? |

Yeah probably. You got the sexy thing goin  . But mostly I wouldn't hire smokers because of the health care costs. I mean, I hate the smell, and what it stands for, but the cost to insure a smoker is way higher than a non-smoker. |

This is another thing many companies won't do. They consider fat people to not only be a big cost insurance wise, but they also consider fat people to be lazy. |
