The scene opens with a morbidly obese man in his early forties huffing and puffing towards his desk in his office. There are pictures of him with dignitaries along with awards and citations decorating the walls. His suit just barely covering his rotund frame and his thick glasses and mustache give an unalarming impression. However there is something about his demeanor that suggests he isn't all that he seems. He turns his computer on, logs in and sighs to himself. Shaking his head, he opens a word document and begins typing:

The department shrink suggested I start keeping this "diary" as a way of reflecting on my thoughts in an "objective" way. Quite honestly, I think she's full of shit. I don't see how keeping a log of how many shits I take in a day is gonna clear my head, but I'll do anything to stay in that hot little broad's office.

Well I guess I should start with why I'm in therapy in the first place; I have a little weight problem.
Jack chuckles to himself
Actually, I have a big weight problem. My doctor is giving me two years to live if I don't shape up, and I wouldn't want to deprive this fine city of its great police chief.
he chuckles indignantly this time

Who am I kidding? I'm probably the worst thing that's ever happened to Vegas. But Vegas' underworld has been nothing but kind to me. I'm not above taking the occasional bribe or turning the other way for the Vampires in this city. And why shouldn't I? Cripes, with all of the corruption in this city and compared to the dirt I have on our city's "elected" officials what I'm doing is just a drop in the bucket.

So why do I do it? Well the money is nice, but what I get out of it has no material value. Its the piece of mind in knowing that I can call on any of those bloodsuckers for a favor at anytime because I've kept things quiet about their "masquerade" since becoming police chief. In fact, as the vampire population slowly grows, the people in this city are barely aware that these guys exist. Why? Because of me. I keep things out of the media and call on favors from other people to keep things quiet. Elected officials aren't the only ones with dirt you know.

Well I guess I should wrap it up now, I've got another appointment with Dr. Hottie and I don't want to keep her waiting.

Jack saves the document in a password protected folder and then logs off of his computer. Before getting up from his desk he wipes the sweat from his forehead and heads to Dr. Hotting's office with a smile on his face and a slight bulge in his pants
