So at first the set looked insane. There were only a few spoiled cards up, and they were pretty cool. Now there's about 1/3 there, and it's not nearly as cool. Most of the future shifted cards are vanilla creats, so we're not getting a whole lot of cool stuff later on. Then the faces are lame on em. The only cards I really do like are:
Magus of the Vineyard (which I like A LOT)
Goldmeadow Lookout (because turning my lands into awesome tappers makes me happy)
Yixlid Jailer looks powerful
+ a couple others
I guess I shouldn't complain too much. There's a lot of stupid cards up, but we've still got 2/3 of the set left to see. Hopefully they'll have some more transmute cards, and some more gravestorm cards (because that ability looks witchlocktastic). I'm not too keen on the creature enchantment thing, but there's a rebel enchantment that you can tutor for as a combat trick. Plus! there's a new ability. Lifelink! Bet you can't guess what it does .
Oh yeah, anyone wanna guess what the Red, White and Black magus are going to be? I thought red would get Magus of the Pillar, after Pyrostatic Pillar, but who knows. THe blue one is based off of the card Future Sight though.
Make your guesses, see who wins!
White: Magus of the Moat
Red: Magus of the Pillar
Black: Magus of the Abyss |

Augur of Skulls - 1B
Creature - Skeleton Wizard
1B: Regenerate Augur of Skulls.
Sacrifice Augur of Skulls: Target player discards two cards. Play this ability only during your upkeep.
Within each empty skull, it seeks ways to preserve its own failing undeath.

It's too much fun to play. Plus, I can't be that addicted since I traded like half the rares I need for the deck to other people so I can get more dual lands. Now I'm out 3 more BOPs and all my fetches lol. But I gots more duals! The deck is a lot of fun to play, and it gives you that halfbaked homebrew idea that kinda works feel when you play it. Plus toolbox decks are hella fun to play anyways. That and the fact that your online opponents get frustrated because they lost to a shit common and a couple shit rares. All in all, it's funness.
Prepare for mosslock. |
