SLA Game Decision made, here are the details.

Alright gents, after looking through my books, including the new Cannibal Sector 1 Sourcebook which I bought a PDF of (no you can't have a copy) I've decided to run a Shiver campaign. I am going to start off by saying that this is going to be the hardest game I have ever run, it is going to be very difficult if you don't know how to use your head and think on your feet you will die, and this time death can have some bad consequences...

Starting Stats:

- You are allowed 200 points, there's no maximum starting stat.

- You MUST be a human.

- Character Creation is the same as in the Main rule book, with one exception, COOL starts at a base of 4, not 5

- You will all be taking the following starting package:

Street:

Rifle
Paramedic
Tactics
Blunt 1h
SLA Info
Evaluate Opponent

- You will start out on a Sleeper Tour, this will mean that ten shivers will be put in an armored APC and sent into downtown for six months to patrol, you will have no communication with family, friends, or other shivers. There will be nine standard units and one Sargeant. You will be playing the standards, and leftover spots will be filled by NPCs, as will the Sargeant. This will mean the following:

You have the starting equipment of:

GA9442 Gauss Rifle
Sleeper Armor (Body Blocker Armor with double ID in all locations.)
SLA Blade
Mini Organizer (Basically a PDA)
Headset Communicator
Pacifier Baton
Boopa Medical Kit
2 Canisters of Canned Plate (Used to repair armor, I will explain later.)

In addition, you will be given 400c total to spend on a secondary weapon and ammunition for it. Keep in mind that while you have a bountiful supply for your GA9442 because it is standard issue, the ammo for your secondary gun is all that you will have for the trip unless you get lucky and can find a black market dealer to buy from.

You are also given 200c of spending money. This can not be spent on the following:

- Weapons
- Armor
- Ammunition

Anything else is fair game. Keep in mind you will be gone for a long time, so if you have a drug addicition you had better stock up.

- Here's the biggie. The Sleeper Tour (and any additional ones you may be sent on) is completly disconnected from the modern world. Each tour will be about six months with one session = one month. Since you are disconnected. If your character dies, then I will allow you to take over one of the NPC characters that I have made (except the Sargeant, which will be played by me at all times.) granted there are any of those men left alive. If your character dies and there are no NPCs left to replace him then you are OUT OF THE GAME until the tour is over.

Keep in mind this game is going to be brutal. You will start off with two shifts of about 5 men per day, so you will be well rested. However, as the tour goes on and members of your squad die off, you will be forced to work longer shifts and fatigue will set in, along with stress, which can drastically effect your skills.

- When you make your character I will also require the following info:

- Age (Can be from 16-40)
- Family members (Spouse, children, parents, etc.) This will be important and can come in as far as roleplaying goes but I doubt it will matter in a Jon "I kidnap everyone" sort of way.
- Short back story including ambitions, overall attitude towards SLA Industries, etc.

System Changes:

The big change will be the damage system. it goes as such:

- If the DMG and PEN are higher than the PV of the armor, then the shot punches the armor and your character takes the overlapping damage (DMG+PEN) - P.V = Damage to Hit Points. Your armor I.D will take the appropriate points of A.D from the weapon.

- If the DMG and PEN are less than the total PV of the amore, then the armor totally absorbs the blow, leaving the player unharmed but the armor more greatly damaged (DMG+PEN+AD = I.D Damage.)

- I will be using the Fear system from the main SLA Rulebook.

- The main SLA Rulebook is available for free download in PDF form at RPGnow.com. You can also purchase the new Cannibal Sector 1 Sourcebook there in PDF form. (Once again, no, you may not have my copy.)

I will be posting additional info about the game and answering any questions you may have in this thread, I don't know when I'll start it or what day it will be on. So let's hear it, fuckers.

Loss of first born child
Being attacked by gorillas at the zoo
Headshots
Legshots
Arm amputations
Leg amputations
Dry throat
Nausea

I say we have a bare knuckle boxing match. But anyways, Paul is going to be the sergeant, so we'll just follow his commands unless they seem completely out there and strange, like something that would get us killed.

Just so you know, there's an amendment to the rules, your starting stat may not go above 8 unless your package takes you to 9. This is specifically stated in the book because Shivers simply do not have the training available to them that operatives do. Sorry for the mix up.
